| A plucky astronaut attempts some ill-advised monkey business and winds up on a distant planet where apes rule and humans are enslaved. Director Tim Burton's eye-popping remake of the 1968 cult classic stars Mark Wahlberg as Leo Davidson, a captain aboard a U.S. space station who goes against orders to save a training chimp. Drifting into a time warp, Davidson is sent crashing into a mysterious planet where he is captured by intelligent simians and thrown into captivity with other humans. With the help of a liberal chimp named Ari (Helena Bonham Carter), Davidson and his fellow humans attempt an escape, but the vicious ape military leader (Tim Roth) has other ideas for them!
